Marketing Specialist- Full-time, onsite
Marketing @ Grayhat
The person who turns what Grayhat builds into something the world knows about.
Grayhat Developers is looking for a high-agency Marketing Specialist who can take ownership of how we position, communicate, and grow Grayhat across digital channels.
This isn't a role limited to posting on social media or following a content calendar.
You'll work across marketing, sales, product, design, engineering, leadership, and clients to understand what we're building, identify opportunities, create compelling content, and turn attention into meaningful business outcomes.
You'll be expected to think strategically while still being comfortable executing yourself.
You may write a post in the morning, research a market opportunity in the afternoon, work with the design team on a campaign, analyze performance, and help the sales team turn a lead into a client.
If you enjoy understanding businesses, creating things, experimenting, analyzing results, and figuring out what works, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Own
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Take marketing from "we should promote this" → "people know about it, care about it, and take action."
- Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with Grayhat's business goals.
- Understand Grayhat's products, services, capabilities, and target markets.
- Identify opportunities to improve Grayhat's positioning and market presence.
- Research target audiences, industries, competitors, and emerging trends.
- Turn business objectives into concrete marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Develop marketing plans, campaigns, timelines, and measurable goals.
- Experiment with different channels, messaging, formats, and approaches.
- Track results and continuously improve based on data.
- Work closely with leadership to understand business priorities and translate them into marketing activities.
The goal isn't to produce more marketing.
The goal is to create marketing that produces results.
Content & Brand
Help Grayhat communicate what makes us different.
You'll contribute to:
- LinkedIn content
- Social media
- Website content
- Case studies
- Project showcases
- Client success stories
- Articles and thought leadership
- Email campaigns
- Sales materials
- Presentations
- Marketing campaigns
- Product and company announcements
You'll:
- Turn technical and complex work into content that people can actually understand.
- Develop clear and compelling messaging.
- Maintain consistency in Grayhat's brand voice and positioning.
- Work with designers to create high-quality visual content.
- Repurpose existing work into multiple content formats.
- Identify interesting projects, technologies, people, and stories worth sharing.
- Build a content pipeline instead of constantly scrambling for ideas.
You don't need to be a professional copywriter.
But you do need to know how to communicate.
Lead Generation & Business Development Support
Marketing exists to help the business grow.
You'll work closely with sales and leadership to:
- Identify potential clients and markets.
- Research companies, industries, and decision-makers.
- Support outbound and inbound lead-generation initiatives.
- Develop campaigns designed to generate qualified leads.
- Create marketing materials that support sales conversations.
- Understand the difference between attention, engagement, leads, and actual business.
- Help improve Grayhat's sales funnel and customer journey.
- Analyze where leads are coming from and which channels are producing results.
- Develop experiments to improve conversion and acquisition.
You should understand that 10,000 views aren't necessarily better than 10 qualified leads.
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
Know what is happening outside Grayhat.
You'll:
- Research competitors and their positioning.
- Analyze industry trends and market opportunities.
- Identify potential customer segments.
- Monitor competitor marketing strategies and messaging.
- Research new channels and acquisition opportunities.
- Identify changes in customer behavior and market demand.
- Turn research into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain useful market and competitor intelligence for leadership.
Don't just collect information.
Figure out what it means for the business.
Analytics & Performance
Good marketing requires measurement.
You'll:
- Track marketing performance across relevant channels.
- Monitor metrics such as reach, engagement, traffic, leads, conversion, acquisition cost, and campaign performance.
- Analyze which content and campaigns perform best.
- Identify patterns and trends.
- Build simple marketing reports and dashboards.
- Present marketing performance clearly to leadership.
- Use data to decide what to continue, change, or stop.
- Run experiments and measure their outcomes.
Don't report numbers just because they're available.
Explain what happened, why it happened, and what we should do next.
Product & Technical Understanding
Grayhat builds software.
You need to understand enough about it to market it properly.
You should develop a working understanding of:
- Software development
- Web and mobile applications
- AI-powered products
- Games
- SaaS products
- Enterprise systems
- Product development
- User experience
- The software development lifecycle
You'll work closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and researchers to understand what we're building and why it matters.
You don't need to code.
But you should be technically curious enough to understand what the team is talking about.
AI & Marketing Automation
Modern marketing is increasingly powered by technology.
You will be expected to use AI and automation intelligently.
You'll:
- Use AI tools for research, ideation, content development, analysis, and experimentation.
- Identify repetitive marketing tasks that can be automated.
- Build or facilitate simple marketing automations.
- Explore AI-assisted content and research workflows.
- Improve lead research and qualification workflows.
- Automate reporting and recurring marketing tasks where possible.
- Experiment with emerging AI tools and platforms.
- Learn how to distinguish useful AI-assisted work from low-quality generated content.
AI should make you more capable—not make your marketing generic.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Marketing doesn't operate in isolation.
You'll work closely with:
Marketing ↔ Sales ↔ Product ↔ Design ↔ Engineering ↔ Leadership
You'll:
- Gather information from engineering and product teams.
- Work with designers to produce campaigns and marketing assets.
- Collaborate with sales to understand customer needs and objections.
- Work with leadership on positioning and business priorities.
- Communicate marketing plans and progress clearly.
- Coordinate campaigns across multiple teams.
- Make sure marketing accurately represents what Grayhat can deliver.
- Turn internal knowledge into external communication.
Generalist & Creative Problem Solving
Grayhat is looking for a well-rounded marketer, not someone who only operates one channel.
You may be asked to contribute to:
- Copywriting
- Content creation
- Social media
- Market research
- Lead generation
- Email marketing
- SEO
- Campaign planning
- Graphic design
- Video editing
- Presentation design
- Sales enablement
- Analytics
- Marketing automation
- Business research
You don't need to be an expert at everything.
But you should be comfortable learning and contributing across disciplines.
If you can write, research, design a basic asset, edit a short video, analyze data, and figure out a new tool without being asked to do every step, that's a major advantage.
