As part of the ongoing evolution of PlayroomKit, we were brought in to deliver a series of highly requested improvements to the popular JavaScript SDK and developer experience.
Our work focused on enhancing multiplayer reliability, player lifecycle management, and framework compatibility. We introduced support for modern React versions, implemented new room-leaving capabilities (the leaveRoom function), improved player reconnection and state preservation flows, refined joystick input handling, and contributed supporting documentation to help developers adopt the new features quickly.
While a relatively short engagement, the project directly impacted the day-to-day experience of PlayroomKit developers within Little Umbrella and outside of it, strengthening the SDK's foundation and helping make multiplayer game development more predictable, resilient, and enjoyable.
